lyonl is designed for private, no-ads search. We collect the minimum operational data needed to run, secure, and improve the service.

What we collect

Query telemetry (query text, language selector, timestamp, result count).
Click telemetry (clicked result URL, rank position, timestamp).
Service telemetry (health, latency, error metrics, abuse-rate signals).
Optional feedback submissions (message, optional email, optional screenshot).

What we do not do

No ads and no sponsored ranking.
No sale of personal data.
No hidden redirect tracking on result clicks.

How data is used

Detect abuse and protect reliability.
Measure and improve relevance, freshness, and latency.
Investigate incidents and service regressions.

Retention and controls

Operational logs are retained for a limited period per incident/quality needs.
Feedback artifacts are retained only as needed to resolve reported issues.
Data handling follows least-privilege operational access.

Security

We enforce HTTPS and transport security headers, apply abuse controls, and continuously monitor service health and integrity.
